Wandsworth Poetry Competition

On Wednesday, 2nd December me and 5 other children: Anisha, Shakur, Nana, Louisa and Aisha took part in a poetry competition.  The competition was held at Wandsworth Town Hall and there were 4 amazing judges who watched 15 schools, including Granard, do their performances.  Unfortunately, we didn't win a prize but it was an amazing experience.  We learned a lot from the other performances and we will see if we can win next year.  In the afternoon, we watched a famous poet called Joseph Coelho read some poems out of his book called Werewolf Club Rules and it was very cool.  We were lucky enough to be able to get a book each signed by him and we were so thankful.  We also have a book for the school library!  We had a lot of fun and we were also given a certificate for taking part.

Thank you very much Miss Burrett and Mr Agyapong for taking us – we really enjoyed ourselves.
