Granard Primary School opened in 1953 and was built on the site of Granard House, the home of the Taylor Family, from which the school takes its name. The school’s spacious grounds are full of established trees which were part of the Granard Estate and is dominated by the magnificent 300 year old Cedar tree, which is the school’s emblem.
The school provides education for pupils within the age ranges of 3 – 11 years (Early Years to Year 6).
We are three form entry in Reception and Key Stage 1 and two form throughout the rest of the school. We have a wonderful community spirit that celebrates our vibrant and diverse multi-cultural community.
The school is organised into three curriculum phases:
Early Years Foundation Stage - Nursery and Reception classes
Key Stage 1 - Years 1 and 2
Key Stage 2 - Years 3, 4, 5 and 6
