Year 5’s DT Day
When it was our DT day we made models of rivers using shoe boxes. First we got a piece of paper to design our rivers and labelled what we were going to use. Next we got our shoe boxes and outlined where everything would go and then we started sticking on all of the tissue paper, card (different colours) and fern. Before I started the river I did my sun by scrunching up tissue paper. Next, I rolled up some plain paper and covered it in brown wrapper and cut a bit of the top off so it would fit. Then, using tissue paper, I made the river with the ox-bow lake mouth and waterfall. After, I did the clouds using cotton wool and sky. Then I did the ground using green fern and after I did some bushes. It was a brilliant day!
