53 children from Years 2-5 attended our second summer camp which was held during the summer holidays. 9 members of staff gave up a week of their holidays to come in and run this exciting opportunity. Everyone had an amazing week.
The focus of the summer camp was a mix of academic and social development, but most importantly for the children to enjoy themselves. Before lunch, which was provided by The Feel Good Bakery, http://www.regenerateuk.co.uk/feel-good-bakery/, the focus was on Maths and English skills and in the afternoons the children took part in fun activities to keep them entertained. They were able to choose activities to do such as baking, swimming, archery, playing the drums, cricket, board games, team building, playing on the new trim trail and making new friends! One of the highlights of the week was going to the cinema to watch The Lion King and having a picnic in Bishops Park.
