Start and end of day timings and access arrangements

Children in Reception – Year 3 are expected to be in school from 8.45 a.m. – 3.15 p.m. and children in Years 4 – 6 from 8.45 a.m. – 3.20 p.m.

All children are able to access the school from 8.40 a.m., when the gates open. 

The gates close at 8.45 a.m.  It is vital that children are in school by 8.45 a.m.

All children (from Reception to Year 6) are allowed to enter via the gate on Putney Park Lane or the Nursery gate on Cortis Road (children in Years 4 – 6 walk to their classrooms via the Dining Hall). 

Children in Years 4 – 6 are also able to enter the grounds via the gate on the corner of Cortis Road and Cortis Terrace.

At 3.15 p.m. parents collect children in Reception – Year 3 from the KS1 playground (via the gate on Putney Park Lane or Nursery gate on Cortis Road).  Reception is dismissed from their outdoor area; Year 1 is dismissed from the red and blue tunnel next to the Reception class; Year 2 is dismissed from the door in the corner of the KS1 playground; Year 3 is dismissed from the Dining Hall. 

Children from Years 4 – 6 should be collected at 3.20 p.m. from the KS2 playground (via the gate on the corner of Cortis Road/Cortis Terrace).  Year 6 children are encouraged to leave the premises on their own to meet their parents or walk home. 

Nursery children and parents should access the school via the Nursery gate on Cortis Road.  The gate is open from 8.55 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 3.05 p.m.

Base children arrive at school at 8.30 a.m. and leave at 3.10 p.m.  They access the school via the After School Care gate on Cortis Terrace.

Total hours provided in a typical day / week:

Nursery - 6 hours / 30 hours

Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 - 6 hours 30 minutes / 32 hours 30 minutes

Years 4, 5 and 6 - 6 hours 35 minutes / 32 hours 55 minutes
