Granard Primary School

"Growing together; Achieving together"

How is teaching and the curriculum adapted to my child’s needs?

Granard is a very inclusive school and we strive to meet the needs of all our children.  Our teachers plan a differentiated curriculum and each class has a Teaching Assistant to help support small groups of children.

We adapt lessons and use resources to match the needs of our children.

We currently have a morning learning provision for seven children (KS2) who are working outside their year group curriculum.  This is led by a qualified teacher and a Teaching Assistant.

Interventions are put in place to support those children who are not making expected progress.

We have one full-time and one part-time SEN Teaching Assistant who lead interventions.

We have a full time Learning Mentor.

We work closely with other agencies and professionals, taking on their advice and recommendations, to support the learning of children with SEND.
