The ethos of our school is very inclusive and the atmosphere is warm and nurturing. We employ one full-time experienced Learning Mentor, one full-time SEN TA and one full-time Family Liaison Officer who support the behaviour and emotional wellbeing of children and their families. The support is individualised to specific needs and is delivered in small groups or 1:1.
As a school, we recognise that some pupils need specific therapeutic interventions, and as a result, we invest in the employment of an Educational Psychologist and other therapeutic services. Where possible, our children access (off site) activities such as yoga, RADiate Dance, therapy dog, visiting the Lady Allen playground, a local farm, dog walking and additional swimming slots.
Mindfulness sessions and Circle Time take place in class on a weekly basis.
Timetables are adapted to suit the needs of our children. If appropriate, children have individual timetables for a set period of time until they are able to cope with a full timetable in class again.
