Welcome to Holly Class!
Holly Class is primarily for pupils in Key Stage 2. The timetable has a strong focus on therapeutic work and builds on prior learning to develop a range of skills, including independence, communication, social and emotional development, cognition, creativity and physical development. Our aim is to create a calm supportive environment for pupils. Clear visuals and routines are used throughout the day to help pupils feel safe, secure and confident in accessing their learning.
Morning regulation is key to supporting the transition into the classroom through accessing a sensory circuit before core lessons begin. The curriculum is topic-based and delivered through a play-based approach including using highly structured sensory based activities with regular movement to support regulation and engagement: this is tailored to each child’s individual needs.
We have access to an outdoor learning environment where pupils can access a variety of equipment including a sensory circuit, tactile experiences and much more to ensure our outside play is fun!
