Welcome to Willow Class!

Willow Class are a Key Stage 1 class based on the top floor of the Cedar building.

In Willow Class, our aim is to ensure that all of our children are familiar and comfortable with transitions, confident to play and explore alongside their peers and recognise and understand their own emotions. This in turn supports our children to be ready to access their learning.

We focus on helping our children to access their academic learning through our learning environment. This is a mixture between the Early Years approach of free flow play as well as the academic lessons and expectations of KS1.

We use also use adapted versions of the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) and Read Write Inc (RWI) programmes.
