Start and end of day timings and access arrangements

Children in Reception – Year 3 are expected to be in school from 8.45 a.m. – 3.15 p.m. and children in Years 4 – 6 from 8.45 a.m. – 3.20 p.m.

All children will be able to access the school from 8.40 a.m., when the gates will open. 

The gates will close at 8.45 a.m.  It is vital that children are in school by 8.45 a.m.

All children (from Reception to Year 6) will be allowed to enter via the gates on Putney Park Lane (children in Years 4 – 6 will walk to their classrooms via the Dining Hall). 

Children in Years 4 – 6 will also be able to enter the grounds via the pond gate on Cortis Terrace or the gate on the corner of Cortis Road and Cortis Terrace.

At 3.15 p.m. parents will need to collect children in Reception – Year 3 from the KS1 playground (via the gate on Putney Park Lane).  Our Year 1 classes will be dismissed from the door in the corner of the KS1 playground; the Year 2 class will be dismissed from the red and blue tunnel next to the Reception class; our Year 3 classes will be dismissed from the Dining Hall. 

Children from Years 4 – 6 should be collected at 3.20 p.m. from the KS2 playground (via the gate on Cortis Road).  Year 6 children are encouraged to leave the premises on their own to meet their parents or walk home. 

Nursery children and parents should access the school via the Nursery gate on Cortis Road.  The gate will be open from 8.55 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 3.05 p.m.

Base children will be arriving at school at 8.30 a.m. and will leave at 3.10 p.m.  They will access the school via the After School Care gate on Cortis Terrace.

Total hours provided in a typical day / week:

Nursery - 6 hours / 30 hours

Reception, Years 1, 2 and 3 - 6 hours 30 minutes / 32 hours 30 minutes

Years 4, 5 and 6 - 6 hours 35 minutes / 32 hours 55 minutes
